Day-Rate and APA Guidance
Charter cost usually splits into a day rate and an APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance), the working budget for fuel, food and port fees. Before you book, we walk through how the route affects that figure — a short Lérins crossing keeps fuel spend low, while a full day toward Monaco adds more, so the estimate reflects the itinerary you actually plan to run.
Vessel and Crew Fit Checks
Guest numbers, sleeping capacity and deck layout are checked against the boat before it's offered, not after. A group of four wanting a swim stop at the islands needs a different footprint to a corporate party of twelve at anchor for lunch, so we confirm capacity and configuration match the plan rather than assuming any boat in the range will do.
Late-Availability Handling
When a date is close, we check the fleet calendar and contact owners or managing crews directly to see what can still be arranged, rather than relying on a fixed online booking widget. This doesn't guarantee a slot on short notice, particularly in May or high summer, but it means the search is done properly instead of left to a static listing.
Multi-Day and Cross-Border Route Planning
An overnight run or a stop at Port Hercule in Monaco involves a longer distance, a pre-arranged berth and the customs formalities of a cross-border call. These trips are planned differently from a same-day Lérins or Antibes loop, and we set out what needs to be booked or confirmed in advance before the dates are fixed.
Family Safety and Calm-Water Stops
For charters with children aboard, we ask about ages and swimming ability and steer the plan toward sheltered anchorages, such as the calmer water around the Lérins islands, rather than open-water stops. Boat choice and tender access are checked with that in mind, not added as an afterthought once the group is already on board.
